Pomfret Honors Quarters (PHQ) dormitory is your first stop upon arriving at camp, whether you are a resident camper or a commuter. The facility is located at the corner of Stadium Drive and California Boulevard, near the southwest corner of campus, as shown on the map.
The main entrance to the dorm is at the circle drive on California Blvd. Vehicles parked in restricted areas are subject to fines and/or towing. A parking lot is located on the west side of the dormitory if space is not available at the main entrance.
Check-in tables are located in the main lobby. When you check in, you will receive the following:
Camp Check-Out Procedures
Sometimes it is neccessary for campers to leave camp for a short time. Parents are encouraged to use discretion in allowing their children to leave camp. Missing scheduled classes, practices, and activities not only disrupts the student's camp experience, but also can adversely affect his/her final concert performance. If the student and parents find it unavoidable, the following steps may be taken to check out of camp.
- The parent/guardian who signed the camp application form should complete the form. (Please do not leave any items blank.)
- The completed form should be turned in to the head counselor the first day of camp.
- The person checking the student out of camp should arrive at the front desk of the dorm at the designated time, with picture indentification.
- A member of the camp staff will verify the person's identification, officially check the student out of camp, and verify the student's return time.
- Upon return to the dorm, the student should sign back in at the front desk. The desk attendant will notify camp staff of the return time.
