Summer Music Camp

Commuter Information

Meals

  • Breakfast is not included in your tuition.
  • All lunches and dinners are included in your tuition.
  • All meals are served in Pomfret Honors Quarters (PHQ) dining center.

Activities

  • You are encouraged to participate in all evening activities.
  • Evening activities end around 10:00pm, and you can be picked up at PHQ.

Schedule

  • Sunday is the first day of camp. Your Sunday schedule will include:
    • Checking in to camp at PHQ between 9am and noon
    • Completing your audition at the designated site (you are responsible for getting to/from the audition site on your own)
    • Lunch on your own
    • Attending the general camp meeting and pizza dinner at PHQ dining center
    • Attending a concert at the Walton Arts Center (transportation is provided)
    • Viewing posted audition results at PHQ following the concert
    • Attending commuter meeting (approximately 9:30pm) at PHQ – parents and students should attend this meeting
  • Your schedule for the remainder of the week will be determined by your band/orchestra placement.
  • Classes begin at 8:00am each day. You may be dropped off either at your first class site or PHQ. Transportation is provided for some class sites, but not all.
  • On the final day of camp, you will participate in a concert at the Walton Arts Center. Your family is encouraged to attend. The time of your concert will depend on which band/orchestra you play in. Lunch is not provided on the final day of camp.
