Silas Herbert Hunt was the first African American man in modern times to be admitted to a major southern land grant university in 1948. He was admitted without any litigation or incidence. Although he died before he could complete his degree, his actions set in motion the integration of the University of Arkansas and the integration of higher education in the southern United States.
The documentary was a special project produced by the University of Arkansas as an educational tool.
